The total inbound business travel spending in the United States plummeted to less than 12 billion U.S. dollars in 2020 as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In 2021, the recovery of the U.S. business travel exports reached 7.9 percent. Before the global health crisis, the business travel spending of foreign visitors in the North American country fluctuated between approximately 38 and a little over 42 billion dollars.
