President's New Year's speech TV reach in Russia 2016-2021
In the last minutes of 2021, 45.1 percent of the Russian population watched Vladimir Putin's New Year's speech on TV. The reach of the program was slightly lower than on December 31 of the previous year. The president's speech is usually the program with the highest viewership rates during the New Year's and Christmas holidays in the country, followed by entertainment shows and films traditionally broadcast during that time.
