French opinion on the usage of dating applications during the lockdown 2020
As the COVID-19 induced lockdown has left many young people feeling lonely in the comfort of their own homes, dating has become somewhat difficult. Meeting new people has become a restraint for many and the use of dating apps has long been debated, with the possibility of leading to a physical encounter. Thus, the general opinion on whether the French actually continue to use dating apps during the lockdown predicted a rather probable outcome. When asked if they were comfortable engaging in such practices themselves, more men than women felt an ease for virtual dating.
