Number of domestic cats and dogs in urban China 2017-2022

In urban China, the cat and dog population exceeded 116 million in 2022, increasing from about 87.5 million in 2017. In that year, approximately 51.2 million dogs and 65.4 million cats were kept as pets in China's urban households.
