Rural households with access to improved drinking water in Indonesia 2014-2023
In 2023, 85.7 percent of rural households in Indonesia had access to improved drinking water. Indonesia is a country rich in water resources, however the water quality is poor regardless of socio-economic conditions. The lack of access to clean water in Indonesia is still a big challenge, especially in slums and rural areas.
