Oil refinery capacity in Africa 2011-2021
Africa achieved an oil refinery capacity of approximately 3.77 million barrels per calendar day in 2021, which was slightly higher in comparison to the previous year. Overall, the refinery capacity has increased in the continent. In 2010, 3.4 million barrels were refined daily. Egypt registered the largest oil refinery capacity among the African countries.
