Revenue of the tourism and hospitality franchise sector in Brazil dropped by approximately 50 percent in 2020 when compared to the previous year. In the second quarter of 2020 alone, the decline reached 89 percent, with revenue amounting to only 370 million Brazilian reals. Despite showing some signs of recovery, the quarterly revenue of this Brazilian sector was still below pre-COVID-19 levels as of March 2021.
