
Children immunization rate in Algeria 2019, by type of vaccine
In 2019, almost the entire children's population in Algeria (99 percent) had received the bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccination, which provides immunization against tuberculosis (TB). In the same year, 91 percent of the children received the third dose of diphtheria and tetanus toxoids and pertussis (DTP3) vaccination. Lastly, with 80 percent of the children vaccinated against measles, Algeria had a high average immunization rate for this disease in Africa.
