Medium-duty truck production share in Europe 2035 by fuel type

By 2035, every second medium-duty truck produced in Western Europe (including Turkey) is expected to be a zero-emission medium-duty truck. Purely battery electric and hydrogen-powered fuel cell electric trucks are projected to make up one-third of the market in 2035. By contrast, the production volume of internal combustion engine trucks is anticipated to be split in half. The overall production of heavy-duty trucks in the region is anticipated to be around 140,000 units in 2035.
