Net income from oil and gas production in Africa 2000-2018
In 2018, the production of oil and gas in Africa generated over 130 billion U.S. dollars in net income. The amount corresponded to the difference between the costs of production and the sales done by ten leading producing countries in the continent. From 2000 onwards, the net income has fluctuated. In general, oil production generated more income than gas production.
