Prevalence of food insecurity in Tunisia 2014-2019
Between 2017 and 2019, roughly nine percent of the population in Tunisia were severely food-insecure, while 20 percent of the people suffered from moderate or severe food insecurity, which means that they could not access healthy food regularly. Compared to the previous three-year period, from 2014 to 2016, the prevalence of food insecurity in the country increased.
