Provinces with highest growth rate for companies in Italy 2020
In 2020, most of the Italian provinces with the highest company growth rate were located in the South and on the Islands. Caserta, in the Southern region of Campania, ranked first, with 1.7 percent more companies in 2020 compared to the previous year. Nuoro, in Sardinia, and Lecce, in Apulia, followed with around 1.2 percent each. The number of enterprises in Naples, in Campania as well, grew by 1.19 percent, the same growth rate as Milan. Overall, the national growth rate stood at 0.32 percent. Regional data shows that the largest number of firms in Italy were situated in the South and on the Islands.
