Share of French households having floor cleaning appliances 2018, by type
In 2018, the canister vacuum cleaner was the most widely owned type of floor maintenance equipment among French households. In fact, this model of vacuum cleaner was present in more than three-quarters of households in France (77 percent). The steam cleaner, a household appliance that cleans floors using pressurized steam, came in second place in the ranking of most owned floor cleaners, with 21 percent of households equipped.
