Clubhouse: number of weekly active users 2022

Initially launched in April in 2020, the audio-based social networking platform Clubhouse has attracted over ten million weekly active as of July 2022. Who is the most followed person on Clubhouse? Founders Rohan Seth and Paul Davison are the top-ranked Clubhouse accounts as of March 2021, both with over four million followers.

How does Clubhouse work?

The app is characterized by allowing users to jump in and out of chats, as well as just listen to other users talking. The conversations are not saved and cannot leave the app. A great deal of Clubhouse’s popularity can be attributed to its innovative audio-based nature. The app’s exclusivity also boosts the appeal of it. The Clubhouse platform is invite-only and currently solely accessible for iPhone users, excluding Android users. While other user-generated audio platforms have been around, Clubhouse stood out and had over nine million monthly downloads in February 2021.

Celebrities on Clubhouse

Despite its immense popularity and an increasing number of active users, the majority of the U.S. population seemed to be unaware of Clubhouse. During a February 2021 survey, 79 percent of the respondents said they had never heard of the service, and 16 percent had not used it and were not interested. Nevertheless, celebrities seem to be into the platform and a growing number are keen to use it, including Oprah, Drake, Jared Leto, Elon Musk, and more.
