With a fall of over 60 percent, retail and recreation places in Chile registered the highest decrease in people traffic among six major types of public areas categories as of January 24, 2021, when compared to the figures recorded in January and February, 2020. The country's open spaces like parks, beaches, or public gardens also saw a drop of 58 percent in visits, while workplaces registered a decline of more than 20 percent.
