Italy IT security use cases of AI and machine learning 2019

In a survey from Italy, most respondents (71 percent) state that they use AI and machine learning for anomaly detection in information technology security. Anomaly detection is a key task for AI and machine learning as it helps to detect abnormal events or changes in datasets. Such abnormal instances are events that do not conform to an expected pattern and are usually undetectable by human experts. In this case, companies employ AI and machine learning to improve outlier analysis which serves to monitor the behaviour of systems and people to identify potential threats. The technology thus enables organizations to make faster and better-informed decisions in real-time.
