Attendance rate in physical stores during the summer sales period in France 2019-2020
The sanitary measures required by the government concerning businesses during the deconfinement period seem to have substantially affected businesses in France. Indeed, an analysis of the attendance at the points of sale at the national and local levels indicates that the summer sales were marked by a significant drop in attendance, down 36.2 percent in the last week, compared to the 2019 summer sales.
