During March 2020, the purchases of vegetables in tins (e.g. baked beans) and fresh milk in the United kingdom increased by 24 percent each, according to a survey of British grocery shoppers. This was closely followed by the rise of bread purchases, which increased by 23 percent. On the other hand, the purchases of takeaway food to eat at home (e.g. Deliveroo) decreased by 24 percent.
