Employed population in Russia 2017-2022
In 2022, about 71.97 million Russians were employed, which was slightly less than one half of the country's total population. In 2020, the number of employed people in the country decreased sharply as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. That was the lowest figure over the observed period.
