The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic had a major impact on live entertainment in 2020, with concerts and other live events unable to take place due to nationwide lockdowns and other measures to prevent the spread of the virus. According to professionals from the live music sector, one of the biggest concerns for the future of live entertainment was audiences being afraid of large gatherings, and therefore reluctant to return to live events. Ticket affordability was another concern for around 46 percent of respondents.
