Clinical studies in Mexico 2022, by phase
As of July 2022, most of the clinical trials carried out in Mexico were registered as being on phase 3 (2,137). Meanwhile, another 15 clinical trials were recorded as in early phase 1. However, from the more than four thousand clinical studies documented in the country, some were either already completed or no longer active, for different reasons. In 2022, Swiss-based company Novartis was expected to be the leader firm among the global top pharmaceutical companies, with some 213 products in the 2022 R&D pipeline.
