In 2021, the value added by the oil and natural gas extraction industry in Tunisia increased by 21.7 percent compared to the previous year. This represented the highest growth among the sectors under review. In 2020, all economic activities experienced negative growth due to the COVID-19 outbreak, with the exception of the agriculture, forestry, and fishery sector, which grew by 1.2 percent.
