Average tariffs applied to Sub-Saharan countries MENA 2000-2018
In 2018, the average tariffs imposed by the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to the Sub-Saharan African countries was about 7.53 percent, which was a significant decrease from about 16.9 percent in 2000. Restrictive trade rules in the MENA region were slowing investment efforts and complicating logistical factors.
