The business environments of the world's seven largest economies were all impacted by the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19). During the first half of 2020, India measured the lowest business confidence index (BCI) at below 90, but it wasn't higher than 90.6 in January 2020. However, the BCI of the country quickly recovered, reaching over 106 in July 2021. Since March 2021, China has had the lowest CBI of the world's seven largest economies with the exception of two months at the beginning of 2023.
