Ratio of income to expenses of bus enterprises in Japan FY 2012-2021
In the fiscal year 2021, the current income of bus enterprises in Japan covered only 81 percent of their expenses, improving their performance from 73.2 percent in the previous fiscal year. On average, private operators outperformed public ones, and operators were rather profitable in large cities than rural areas.
