EU: perceived health by gender and age

According to the Gender Equality Index 2020, males report good or very good health to a higher extent than females, regardless of age group. The significance is highest among EU citizens above 65 years. Here, only 38 percent of females state to have good or very good health compared to 44 percent of males. Gender gaps are also revealed considering employment rates in the EU.
