Share of prison budget utilized in India FY 2022, by state
The Indian state of Telangana utilized about 114 percent of the prison budget in financial year 2022. By contrast, the state of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar utilized only about 77 and 74 percent of the prison budget that year, respectively.
