Greece: monthly DAM baseload electricity price 2024

Baseload electricity prices in Greece amounted to 93 euros per megawatt-hour in January 2024.

Electricity prices skyrocketed in Europe between the second half of 2021 and the first half of 2022, and Greece was strongly affected. The monthly average electricity baseload price in Greece's day-ahead market (DAM) peaked at 436.5 euros per megawatt-hour in August 2022, roughly quadrupling in comparison to a year earlier. In the second half of 2022 and in 2023, prices started to decline, although they were still not at the pre-pandemic level as of January 2024.
