In 2023, the education and health services industry employed 22.2 percent of all employed persons with a disability in the United States. The mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction industry employed only 0.3 percent of all employed persons with a disability in the United States.

The persons with a disability section of the Current Population Survey, (CPS) is a set of six questions to identify persons have physical, mental, or emotional conditions that cause serious difficulty with their daily activities.
