According to a survey conducted in October 2022, close to 55 percent of respondents in Japan stated that hydropower should be used for energy generation in the future. According to the survey conducted in previous years, hydro energy remained one of the most supported energy sources in Japan throughout the past decade, following solar and wind energy.
