Almost 17 percent of consumers in Japan drank RTD tea almost daily, according to a survey conducted in April 2020. While the majority consumed bottled tea on a regular basis, around 15 percent stated to not drink the beverage at all.
RTD tea is a major segment within the Japanese non-alcoholic beverage market, with Ito En representing a leading manufacturer and distributor in the green tea segment.
