In 2020, female-led startups generated more revenue post-acceleration program for every dollar of debt they raised pre-acceleration than male-led startups did. For every one U.S. dollar of debt invested prior to participation in a business accelerator, startups led by women raised an average post-acceleration revenue of 1.12 U.S. dollars. In male-led startups, for every one U.S. dollar of debt investment made pre-acceleration, a revenue of 0.54 U.S. dollars was raised. Overall, female-led startups benefitted more from accelerators with regards to being able to raise more revenue after debt investments.
