Volume of renewable electricity purchases Japan FY 2022, by energy source
In the fiscal year 2022, approximately 74.9 billion kilowatt hours of electricity generated from solar energy (with more than ten kilowatt) were purchased in Japan. Solar energy constituted the energy source with the largest renewable electricity purchase volume in Japan. Biomass energy followed, with a purchase volume of around 24.3 billion kilowatt hours.
