Japan: renewable electricity purchase value 2022

In the fiscal year 2022, the value of renewable electricity purchases in Japan reached approximately 3.93 trillion Japanese yen. Figures increased continuously since fiscal year 2013 when the purchase value stood at around 579.1 billion Japanese yen. To reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the Japanese government is currently working on increasing the share of renewable energy sources in electricity production.
