As of 2020, nearly one in three parents and guardians of children aged 0 to 17 in Canada declared that they were not saving for their children's postsecondary studies. The most common reason for not saving was the lack of resource, indicated by 54 percent of parents and guardians that were not saving for this purpose. Another 24 percent of respondets said that their children will pay when the time comes.
