Sympathy for Harry and Meghan or the Royal Family UK 2021
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's revealing 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey has widened the gulf between the couple and the British Royal Family, after their official departure from royal duties a year earlier. The interview discussed a variety of topics, such as racism, mental health and tabloid journalism in the United Kingdom. According to a survey conducted just after the interview, however, 36 percent of the British public sympathized with the Queen and the Royal Family more than they did Harry and Meghan (22 percent), although 28 percent of respondents sympathized with neither.
