Number of deep learning related patent applications at the JPO Japan 2013-2020
Close to 2.54 thousand patent applications related to deep learning were recorded at the Japan Patent Office in 2020. The number of applications related to deep learning made up approximately 44 percent of the number of patent applications related to artificial intelligence (AI), which amounted to almost 5.75 thousand during that year.
