During the sanitary crisis in France in 2020, the source had asked the respondents if a certified online identity would have a positive impact on the level of trust in online transactions: for 39 percent of respondents, an online certified identity would have no impact on trust levels. For 93 percent of respondents, the deletion of personal data was rated as important, a factor that has been rated high since 2016.
