Number of recreational boats registered in French maritime waters 2021, by type
As of August 31, 2021, there were 1.05 million recreational boats registered with the Maritime Affairs in mainland France. Of the propulsion types, motor and sailboats made up the majority. Accounting for 74 percent of the total, Motorboats were the most common, with 779,773 registered vehicles. Sailboats followed with 205,534.
