Lithium production capacity additions in Argentina 2021, by project stage
As of October 2021, Argentina's lithium production capacity could grow by 40 thousand metric tons of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE), with the completion of the Cauchari-Olaroz project which was under construction at the time. Expansions of existing plants adding up to 45 thousand tons LCE had also been announced. In addition, plants with a combined annual capacity of roughly 300 thousand tons LCE were under different stages of development at the time.
