French views on the environmental respect of internet technologies in the future 2020
For many French people, internet technologies can be a good alternative to compensate for physical activities that can be harmful for the environment. For example, applications such as BlaBlaCar are a great way to reduce the carbon footprint by increasing carpooling activities. When people were asked about whether they thought that the internet would be developed to be less or more harmful on the environment than today, the majority responded that they thought digital technologies would be not more nor less respectful of the environment than today.
