In a survey carried out in 2020, Walmart, Dollar Tree and Dollar General were the most popular discount chains in the United States. According to the survey, 75 percent of U.S. respondents have purchased from Walmart in the last 12 months. Dollar Tree and Dollar General followed, with 59 percent and 48 percent of respondents, respectively.
