Mining and metals CEOs: concern on cyber security

The increasing reliance on technology and digitalization of the mining and metals industry (also referred to as smart mining) in recent years also suggests the possibility of an exposure to cyber attacks for mining companies. Around 12 percent of the CEOs in this industry described themselves as "extremely concerned" about cyber threats to their company's growth prospects in 2020, down from a 21 percent share of surveyed mining and metals CEO's saying they were extremely concerned in 2018.
