Production of man-made fiber in India FY 2011-2021
The production of textile fiber in India amounted to 2.4 million metric tons as of January 2021 in financial year 2021. Compared to the previous years with a production of around just over 1.6 million metric tons per year, this signifies a considerable increase. While the years 2016, 2017, and 2018 do not show much variation in the quantity of fiber production, the tendency for an increase emerges in 2019 with a rise by almost 0.1 million metric tons.
