Share of respondents believing in the healthiness of selected food in China 2021
A survey revealed that most Chinese people consider high-fiber foods healthy, such as fruit and nuts, respectively accounting for 96.25 percent and 80.46 percent of respondents. According to the source, milk is widely perceived as healthier than plant-based or nut milks, even though many Chinese are lactose-intolerant. Salads, with nearly 62 percent of respondents recognizing them as healthy, are not as positively perceived in China as in the west, as hot meals are more often preferred for health.
