Average android/iOS smartphone NAND flash capacity worldwide 2019-2020, by quarter
In the fourth quarter of 2020, the average iOS smartphone NAND flash capacity reached 140.9 GB, while the average capacity in Android smartphones stood at 95.7 GB. Advancements in cameras, application processors (APs) and displays have resulted in increased storage demand for videos, images, and other multimedia applications. Thus, NAND capacity has grown in smartphones, with the gap between average capacity in iOS and Android smartphones narrowing in 2020.
