In the third quarter of 2020, buying products on the web was very common among internet users of all generations in the United States: when asked whether they had made an online purchase in the past month, an estimated 80 percent of respondents stated that they had. Specifically, U.S. consumers between the ages of 35 and 54 were the country's leading online buyers.
