Remote job opportunities worldwide 2021, by applicant group
In 2021, 59 percent of respondents from a global survey with no graduate degree report applying for remote positions on the platform LinkedIn. In general, remote opportunities are attratctive to diverse applicants. For example, research from the U.S. found that women, Black, and U.S. Latino workers are more likely to prefer remote work than white workers and men. This may advantage these groups especially as they are able to apply for positions that are not in their physical proximity.
