Latin America: distribution of startup ecosystem value 2020, by country
In 2020, Argentina and Brazil concentrated over 80 percent of the startup ecosystem value in Latin America. Argentina, with the largest share, accounted for 45 percent, followed closely by Brazil with 41 percent. In 2019, Brazil was the country with the highest new business ownership rate in the region, with nearly 16 percent of population aged 18 to 64 owning or managing a new business.
