Shopping frequency at hypermarkets in Japan 2020

Around one third of Japanese consumers shopped at hypermarkets at least once per week, as revealed in a survey conducted in November 2020. While almost 16 percent of respondents would visit hypermarkets once a week, only 1.6 percent frequented stores on a daily basis.
